KalVista Pharmaceuticals, Inc., is a global biopharmaceutical company dedicated to developing and delivering life-changing oral therapies for individuals affected by rare diseases with significant unmet needs. Our lead investigational product is sebetralstat, a novel, oral, on-demand treatment for hereditary angioedema (HAE). Sebetralstat is under regulatory review by the U.S. FDA, with a PDUFA goal date of June 17, 2025. In addition, we have completed Marketing Authorization Applications for sebetralstat to the European Medicines Agency and multiple other global regulatory authorities.

About Sebetralstat

Sebetralstat is an investigational, novel oral plasma kallikrein inhibitor for the treatment of hereditary angioedema (HAE). We have filed multiple regulatory applications seeking approval of sebetralstat as the first oral, on-demand treatment for HAE in individuals aged 12 and older, with ongoing studies exploring its use in children aged 2 to 11. If approved, sebetralstat has the potential to become the foundational therapy for HAE management worldwide.

About the role:

The Director/Senior Director, Business Insights & Analytics will play a critical operating role within KalVista. As a key member of the BI & Analytics leadership team, you will drive the business insight function in framing business questions, conducting analyses, delivering insights and serving as a pivotal cross-functional partner supporting commercial initiatives. Key responsibilities include conducting market research and competitive intelligence, supporting all launch-related reporting & analytics, and delivering innovative, data-driven solutions to inform commercial strategy

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic insights and subject matter expertise to the marketing and commercial teams; serve as a key problem-solving partner by collaborating closely with these teams to address their unique business challenges
  • Act as a cross-functional partner to Sales, Operations, Marketing, Finance, Forecasting, and Business Development to understand their needs and provide value through insights and analytics
  • Translate business needs into insights and analytics initiatives, delivering solutions and recommendations to support commercial objectives
  • Conduct market research and secondary data analytics to craft a compelling, persuasive story that delivers clear and actionable recommendations
  • Oversee and manage weekly/monthly reporting
  • Collaborate with data operations to align on data availability and quality for analytics purposes
  • Stay abreast of internal and external guidelines, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Cultivate strategic partnerships with internal and external customers, vendors, and extended team members

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required; advanced Master’s/MBA degree is a plus
  • 10-12 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, predominantly in the US
  • Deep expertise in business analysis, insights, market research, and competitive intelligence; preferred experience in specialty/rare disease
  • Understanding of relevant internal and external data sources (CRM, sales, claims, etc.) within the pharmaceutical industry; ability to extract insights using programming languages (Python, R, Julia, SQL), and cloud computing environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, etc.) is a plus
  • Deep expertise in advanced spreadsheets, data analysis, and data visualization tools
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management and project management skills
  • Innovative mindset with the ability to take a creative approach to best meet the needs of both customers and KalVista
